“You want that bone you buried in Rottweiler territory on the other side of the road, you’re going to have to go through us first. Step over that line, mister, and you’re dead meat. Got it?”

I captured these pack of mean-looking, flesh-eating watchdogs, one summer afternoon, as I was taking a post-lunch stroll. And then I ran as fast as I could.

  1. They are adorable! They all look the same as if they came from the same litter.

    1. I'm sure they did, Nan. There are dozens of strays near my office and they're all harmless. Office-goers and the security staff based in the corporate park often feed them.

    2. Are they too 'wild' to be brought home?

    3. Not at all, Nan. Most strays are friendly. Unfortunately, people in Bombay neither have the time nor the space to keep pets. Ordinary citizens mostly live in one-room tenements or one- and two-bedroom apartments. Besides, everyone leads a hectic life. In fact, it's awfully difficult to find good homes even for free pedigreed dogs.
