Start your day with...

Start your day with a glass or two of water, preferably warm water, on an empty stomach followed by exercise or yoga, five to 10 minutes of meditation and deep breathing, and a silent prayer. These are simple but effective techniques that refresh, rejuvenate, and reinvigorate mind and body. Backed by a positive mind, a wholesome diet, and eight hours of sleep every night, this regimen, if done with discipline every single day, can do wonders for your mental and physical system.   1. I have also read to squeeze some fresh lemon juice into hot water and drink it the first thing in the morning. I do. Sometimes I drink the water before yoga, and other times afterwards.

    1. Nan, thank you for visiting and commenting. A lot of people in India regularly drink hot water, or mixed with fresh lemon juice, to detoxify the system. I believe it is also a good prevention against germs in drinking water. Here doctors often recommend two glasses of warm water first thing in the morning.
